It was noted that establishment of the Expert Council at the Committee
aims at ensuring citizens’ participation in managing state affairs;
considering public opinion when forming and implementing
state policy; and respecting the interests of members of the branch when
drawing up the bills.
Aiming to refine and publicly discuss the bill on the Provision of the Expert Council, requests with proposals on structure of the above mentioned body, its functions and activity management were sent to main industry associations and public organizations.
The
Chairman of the Committee Valerii Omelchenko informed that the Provision was refined
on the base of numerous proposals the Committee received.
The new Provision defining the rules of procedure of the Expert Council, rights and responsibilities of its members, its structure and functions, was supported unanimously.
